The Honest Little Ant

One sunny morning in a quiet garden, a little ant named Anya was walking along a small path. She was searching for food to bring back to her colony.

As she walked under a big leaf, she saw something shiny on the ground.

It was a small golden seed.

Anya looked around.
No one was there.

“This seed looks very special,” she said softly.

She could take it home and keep it for herself. No one would know.

But Anya remembered what her mother once told her.

“An honest heart is more valuable than gold.”

So Anya decided to find the owner of the seed.

Searching for the Owner

Anya walked through the garden asking every animal she met.

She asked the butterfly.

“Is this your seed?”

The butterfly smiled and said,
“No, little ant. It is not mine.”

She asked the squirrel.

“Did you lose this golden seed?”

The squirrel shook his head.

“No, but thank you for asking.”

Anya kept walking even though she was getting tired.

The Owner Appears

Finally, Anya met an old bird sitting on a tree branch.

The bird looked worried.

“What happened?” Anya asked kindly.

The bird sighed.

“I lost a special seed this morning. It was shiny and golden.”

Anya’s eyes widened.

She held up the seed.

“Is this the one?”

The bird looked surprised and happy.

“Yes! That is my seed!”

A Reward for Honesty

The bird thanked Anya for her honesty.

“You could have kept the seed,” said the bird.

“But you chose to return it.”

As a reward, the bird gave Anya a small fruit from the tree.

“This fruit will give your colony enough food for many days.”

Anya happily carried the fruit back home.

Her colony was proud of her honesty.
